Actually I should have re-read Kav's actual words before I posted that. :P
This is what he wrote,


"This album marks the end of a trilogy and the beginning of a new phase of Eskimo Joe. Maybe not so much musically but personally, of course the two things will be forever intertwined. The three records map the course of, falling in love (Girl), breaking up (A Song Is A City) and then the inviting of bright lights and dark nights into our lives(Black Fingernails Red Wine). But the closer you look into the myth of rock n roll the more you realise the insincerity of it all, there's nothing to firmly place your feet onto just whispy clouds, and before you know it your falling back down to the ground. The decent is only part of the journey because once you get there your faced with the responsibility of being oneself. And it's incredibly scary.

Some of this record was written while making that choice to fall, some was written while falling, some was written when I hit the ground and some was written when I got back up again and realised I had landed in a wonderful place.

This is an album about hope."
